Hello, and welcome to Tree Rings—a collection of my personal logs 🪵

My name is Caimile Loy. I’m a student at NC State, Technical Writing Intern at a healthcare SaaS company, and an amateur co-founder of a media startup called The Acquisitor. Yes, I know—my calendar looks like a game of Tetris on overdrive.

I decided to start Tree Rings as a way to document my thoughts, growth, and insights gained over time. I’m pretty new to this whole creator-entrepreneur-career-life thing, but the best way for me to keep piecing everything together is by writing about it.

🌱 Why “Tree Rings”?

Our lives are made up of layered experiences that build on each other over time. It’s what shapes who we are and what values we hold.

Much like the rings on a tree, each layer is another piece to our complex personal stories that reveal how we’ve grown, adapted, and evolved over time. Since this newsletter is where I’ll unpack what I’ve learned about life, entrepreneurship, and being a decent human, “Tree Rings” felt like the right fit.

Plus, I always love a good metaphor.
